Here is a little clip from the 5D, nothing brilliant, but showing the new ability to follow focus I gained with the 17-35L lens. This is a cool combo I will be using ALOT.

That's awesome low-light performance!

But - WHY do those photogs always seem to think they're the center of attention?  You might consider reminding them that they have zoom lenses too!

Nice clip, Bill!  So what are you using as your main cam that can possibly intercut well with that beautiful 5D footage? I think I remember you mentioning it in another post - a Canon videocam?

Hank,
That photog is my wife! And I tell her the same thing believe me! Anyway, I may not be intercutting it with anything, but the other cam we were using it was a Canon XH A1 with a light. The 5D was at 1/60 shutter 3200ISO and 2.8 where the A1 was at 6db 1/30 shutter and 1.6. Even at twice the aperture and twice the shutter speed, the 5D blows it away in low light. For the tradeoff though, the 5D has to be manually focussed which is why I'm excited about this new lens. The focus ring is very smooth and works great! so I can finally manually focus and try to keep everything under control. i'll post the highlight when it's done which will incorporate the A1 and 5D footage. Yoikes!
