Great tool for covering fast-moving wedding receptions. Smooth pans take a bit of practice, but steady static shots are a snap. The only drawback is that you have to remove your tripod adapter plate.
This could stand to be a couple of inches longer and the VX2100 & PD170 are a little front-heavy for shoulder mounting comfort, but it does work.
