Here's a post of opening and preps from last weekend's wedding.  Nothing fancy.  I'd give my right arm to be able to include Glidecam moves, but I just don't seem to have time to mess with other equipment, and frankly my Glidecam stuff needs a lot of work.

But we do try to use decent framing, exposure, focus, good shot mix, etc. and most of all, we put the emphasis on the people, trying to tell the "story" of their wedding in an interesting way that tries to deliver some of the emotion of the day and we try to get good coverage of all the people who are important to the couple.

Hank,
Are you looking for critique on this or just trying to stimulate conversation?

Whatever you feel like, Bill.  (Sounds like there's a lot of "critique" coming!)   Grin

No, I was just asking because you posted it in the "critique" section. I learned a long time ago not to tell the boss what you think no matter how much he prods  Roll Eyes

Wasn't thinking of it as a "Critique" section, though you are correct.  Was just thinking of it as a place to post video links of recent work.

Though I am at the controls, I have no wish to be "boss".  You guys run this thing.  Any regular poster who asks will get author and/or editor priveliges so they can post articles without my review.

It wouldn't be the first time you've criticised me, Bill!   Grin  This is your place - go for it!

The first thing I would critique is the jittery tilt, pans and zooms.  When I watch from camera to tv, via hdmi, the motion is smooth.  When I watch through PP or after encoding, whether to flv or dvd (standard) - all the moves are "jittery".

I haven't tried blu-ray yet, but I've been looking for a solution.  I'll try the field options of deinterlace (stills) and flicker removal, but wondering if anyone has found a good solution.  I see the problem posted all over other forums, but without a satisfactory solution other than using fcp.
