It would be nice if there was a forum for people to post other fun projects they're working on. I don't really see one for miscellaneous things. I would rather not have to find another set of videography forums to visit in addition to this one just to share things unrelated to weddings!

I've also had complaints about having too many forums, making it more time-consuming to check them all.  We do have a General Forum, which was intended to be a catch-all.

Tell you what - we've got four moderators here.  If any one of them feels we should have another forum, they are welcome to create it - or tell me if their permissions won't let them do that and I'll create it.

I'll go one further, if anyone out there whatsoever feels we need another forum, we'll go ahead and create it, so all you have to do is convince one person - any person - if they post in agreement, it is a done deal.  Meanwhile, please do post it in General.

I think the general forum is fine. I don't know how involved it would be to create new categories but another would hardly seem worth it. It would also need sub categories like Theater/Performance, Corporate, Real Estate, yada yada yada(Yes, that last one is for Seinfeld discussions). I get the point about it seeming to be off topic in a "Wedding Video Done Right" forum but we have had non wedding discussions in appropriate forums (editing, websites, etc) and it blends right in. Just my .02

It really comes down to your vision Hank. You created this for Wedding Video specifically. The question is do you see other services as "off topic"?

Oh okay, that's fine though. I didn't know the general forum was that general; I thought posting non-wedding stuff there might be off-topic.

Feel free to post any topic you like, we look forward to each new post.  Just easier to deal with fewer forums.

Somehow I missed seeing this question.

Not at all.  Wedding videographers have related interests, and in the current economy, most are having to expand into other areas just to survive.

That makes those other topics all wedding video related in my opinion.

However, I really want my opinion to count less and less while some group of you take over this site.  That's why I said that if even one person agreed we should have more topics, then so be it.  That's why we have a half dozen moderators and will gladly add more as new people get involved.

This is YOUR website - all of you.
