Wedding Video Done Right is a loose-knit organization of wedding videographers with a desire to improve the wedding video industry, to help others grow within the industry and to support each other as we grow our businesses.

WVDR collects no dues and has no formal membership, other than those who register to post in our message boards and the many more who lurk and learn by reading our articles and forum posts.\

WVDR does not see itself in competition with other videographer organizations. Though we sometimes cry "foul" when we feel they are taking the wrong direction, we would prefer that they take steps that benefit wedding videographers, their clients and the industry and we will be happy to support any organizations that we feel are taking those steps.

WVDR feels that our industry should offer certification as a method of creating a line of demarcation between those wedding videographers who work truly makes them worth of the title "professional" and others.  WVDR has setup a process for certification and has begun certifying those applicants who have been approved.

With only a $99 fee to cover our time and costs, certification must be attained, it cannot be bought.  As of this time, WVDR has the only certifcation for wedding videographers that honestly rates one's work as professional or not, though we do hope that other organizations will follow our lead and stop selling certifications.

WVDR is looking to the near future to become a non-profit organization run by a board of volunteers.  We'll look to those who are active on our message boards and article contributors to staff the first board.

Games for YOU!

A new feature we've added is games with wedding videography as the theme.  We'll try and change the crossword and hangman each month.  We're working on a "Concentration" game, but it'll take time to come up with all the wedding video related images.  Probably sometime in August.  Comments?  Suggestions?  Email me and we'll get you registered in our forums where you can post your ideas.
